Reflection on Starting, Mantaining and Writing a blog Since I was a Primary school student, I have wanted to start a blog as most of my friends had blogs. However, I have not accomplished it as I was always too lazy to till now when I am required to start and mantain a blog. Overall, I feel that starting a blog is certainly an interesting and unique way to teach English. Instead of writing essays that students dread, blogging can allow students to voice out their thoughts and opinions about pieces of writings and assignments. This also is a particularly good platform to improve our writing skills as I strongly believe that the skill of writing cannot be nurtured within one day of practice but improved constantly throught daily practices. Blogging is user-friendly(altought I get confused at times) and enables us to post easily. We can even decorate our blogs and put up pictures together with the post. I do not seem to have any dislikes about blogging just that the only complain I have is the lack of time I have to post due to the extra-curricular activities I have in school. Furthermore, we have to abide to the RBP(Responsible Blogging Policies) while blogging, making it harder for us to choose of choice of words. I feel that the electronic bookshelf is a fantastic idea. This is because I can share the books i have read with others and let them know more about myself and my reading habits. Thus, they can comment on my readings and I would know if my reading habits are good or bad. Unfortunately, the number of books I have read are too many for me to post them all up on the electronic bookshelf. To conclude with, I feel that the school has made a good choice on letting students start a blog as I believe that this will help improve our English standards after blogging. I hope that this would be a fruitful and meaningful experience for us. I am currently reading The Lord of The Rings:Return of the King. http://weread.com/profile/Chong/F7D33947-327C-4B5B-8535-DF84EB3B9468?con_sandbox=booksiread&container_type=booksiread Comment | 1 Comments |
