Judo
Okay, so it is finally time for us to pick our CCA's that is presumed to be going to stick with us for the next 4 years in Hwa Chong Institution (High School). There are 3 benefits that I am looking out for from CCA's. Firstly, it helps me keep fit, although some CCA's do not. Secondly, it is good for my resume but of course, when you are good in any CCA, it is not difficult for you to get high CCA points. And last but not least, the most important benefit, it is to have passion and interest in the particular CCA and to be able to excel in it. What is my passion and interest? Martial arts. It seems that we three brothers have a strong interest in martial arts and are able to excel in them. So, what martial arts are there in my school? Judo. I have been setting my eyes on judo ever since I turned into a Secondary One student. Furthermore, my two brothers were also in judo. Not only that, but my oldest brother was a prominent figure in the dojo. My second brother, only a white belt still, always talks about his experience of throwing people much higher ranks than him. So I went for the trials, managed to throw them quite well and once they heard who my older brother was, they started asking me to join as if I was a big rock star. Even the coach of judo acknowledged me! What did I say about us excelling in martial arts?

Starting 2009 as a Sec1 student
In the blink on an eye, 2008 has past, 2009 has begun and I am finally a Sec1 student! As soon as Secondary school life has started, I immediately knew that it would be very much different from my Primary school life, which was definitely in the comfort zone. In Secondary school, we would be staying back for most of the days while in Primary school, I would usually go home and take naps. Thus, I am so used to taking naps that I will be dead tired by the time I reach home everyday! However, I will have to cope with it, right? So, I spotted some of my old friends, made some new ones too and it just so happened that one of them was in the same class as me! What a coincidence! However, I really hope that I will be able to forge new and everlasting bonds in my Secondary school life. Now, to my teachers! Sadly, my form teacher is away so my form teacher right now is a relieve teacher who is actually very young. My Mathematics teacher is a very friendly teacher who interacts very well with us. Of course, my class is taught by stricter teachers too, like my Geography teacher but he is not the unreasonable type who scolds without reasons and is very respectable. Lastly, my English teacher! He is Canadian! That is so cool! Maybe I will speak the American accent some day.
